When you’re thinking about budgeting for your wedding and the hit your bank account will take in the coming months, although often overlooked, engagement shoots without a doubt are one of the best investments you can make.

I’m bound to be biased but it’s true! What better way to have some beautifully shot couple photos that you’ll cherish for life, and can look back on when you think about how happy you were after the engagement and in the months leading up to your wedding day.

Not only this but you can get to know the person who could potentially be your wedding photographer and see whether or not they’re the right fit for you.

Recently I had the pleasure of meeting Linda and Nathan who I took on a photoshoot in Nottingham earlier this month. They were delighted with their photos which were delivered to them a few days after the shoot in the War Memorial Gardens, which I mentioned as one of the best places for an engagement shoot in a recent blog post.

Linda and Nathan weren’t used to having a camera pointed at them (as with most couples), but some getting to know each other and playful prompts later they were naturals in front of the lens. We were left with photos beautifully capturing their partnership, complemented by the blossoming trees and colourful surroundings of the gardens’.

I offer engagement shoots for £250 or only £150 if you’ve already booked me as your wedding photographer or book me as a result of the engagement shoot! So if you’re after some photos to complement your wedding album or simply as a present to your loved one, get in touch!
